What can you do in Newberg? Here are just a few ideas:
- Take a day (or more!) visiting a few of the 140 wineries located in the surrounding six American Viticultural Areas.
- Only 45 minutes away, make your way to the city of Portland and see the International Rose Garden, Japanese Garden and experience the city’s urban quirkiness, including numerous food carts, unique restaurants and breweries, and Powell’s Bookstore.
- Head for the rugged Oregon Coast and take the gorgeous drive up the coast on US-101; stop at Newport and visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium, or at Tillamook, famous for its cheese and ice cream.
- Love the great outdoors? The Columbia River Gorge with all its wonderful waterfalls, including Multnomah Falls, has lots of great hikes and scenic views to offer.
